ABOUT SKYLINE SOCCER ASSOCIATION
Skyline Soccer Association has been providing youth soccer to more than 2,000 children each season in Denver since 1965. Skyline is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY

Administrative Duties

- Be direct point of contact for all U9/U10 coaches (paid and volunteer), answering all questions, or giving advice on team management, tactics, practices, games, etc;
- Conduct the recruiting, hiring, training, and evaluating of paid coaching staff for the U9/U10 programs;
- Assist in the promotion, management, and oversight of the competitive tryouts;
- Promote Skyline programs to club members and potential members;
- Answer phones and return all messages within 24 hours;
- Return all emails within 24 hours;
- Assist in all general administrative work as directed by Executive Director;
- Report monthly to the Board of Director meetings with new ideas and all updates;
- Create and manage game schedule and net schedule for all U9/U10 teams;
- Manage day-to-day functions of U9/U10 programs;
- Work closely with the Advanced Director and Recreational Director on player placement and evaluations;
- Be point of contact and reference for U9/U10 coaches, referees, parents, players, and volunteers;
- Manage all general aspects of Skyline's annual recreational preseason tournament including promotion, registration, scheduling, field set-up, field tear down, volunteers, etc;
- Conduct referee certification courses.
- Recruit, educate, mentor, schedule, and manage referees;
- Be an easily accessible person, maintaining good rapport with coaches, parents and players;
- Work with the Executive Director to find new ways to promote and advertise the growth of the club;
- Run preseason meetings with U9/U10 teams;
- Run background checks on all U9/U10 coaches;
- Distribute and retrieve nets as needed on game weekends;
- Resolve any player/coach/parent conflicts;
- Keep Skyline fields and office looking in a highly presentable manner;
- Personally contact all U9/U10 coaches each season prior to the start of the season;
- Coordinate with the Recreational Director in regards to attaining new coaches and players from the Recreational program;
- Make connections with school for meetings and creation of school teams;
- Assist in all camp functions: spring, summer, fall and winter;
- Research new opportunities for developing new camps;
- Manage any new camps;
- Create community events and community outreach projects;
- Develop sponsorships and fundraising events for the recreational program; and
- Research, develop, and manage a TopSoccer Program or Skyline;


Coaching Duties
- Hold coach-training sessions before and during the season for volunteer and paid coaches;
- Assist in the organization, management and direction of camps for in-season, summer and winter;
- Be the face for U9/U10 programs at the fields during game weekdays, weekends; overseeing and answering any questions;
- Recruit, direct, and manage U9/U10 coaches/trainers for the season;
- Be available to help cover coaching responsibilities for teams as needed (i.e. if coach cannot be at a game);
- Work towards further coaching licensures;
- Be easily accessible person to all coaches and provide feedback;
- Design age specific session plans for coaches/trainers to implement at practice; and
- Be willing to referee games on weekends as needed;

Requirements:
 PREFERRED SKILLS

- Goalkeeper knowledge a plus
- Must be able to type 50+ words per minute;
- Use of Microsoft Office is extremely important;
- Use of database management software;
- Customer service oriented;
- Excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills;
- Perfect written grammar and punctuation;
- Detail oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy;
- Overly organized;
- Well spoken;
- Courteous;
- Ability to problem solve;
- Ability to multitask and meet changing deadlines;
- Must be self-directed and able to complete projects with limited supervision;
- Excellent time management skills;
- Knowledge of non-profits a plus;
- Bilingual - English/Spanish a plus, but not required; and
- Ability to find important new tasks a plus;
