2012/13 ODP Invitational Tryouts

Change in Selection process

 

The Colorado Olympic Development Program is charged with the task of evaluating, selecting, training, as well as offering competition for Colorado Soccer’s “cream of the crop”.  In an effort to streamline the process and make the program more affordable, tryouts will be by invitation only this year as opposed to open tryouts last year.  CYS is relying on input from our member clubs to recommend players that they feel deserve to be considered for selection.  Each club has been asked to appoint a club liaison and submit a list of players to CYS by Sept 1^st.  Invitations will then be sent out to those players for tryouts that will begin the weekend of October 6^th and 7^th.   A third tryout date is still to be determined.  Those invited to the tryout will come from the club recommendations and previous achievements in the ODP.

A pool of players will be selected from each age group tryouts. That pool will train together on a scheduled still to be determined and a team will be selected from that pool to represent Colorado in regional competition.  The following are the age groups offered by ODP this year:
