Welcome parents of Colorado Youth Soccer players! Thanks to a ground-breaking partnership between CYS and PCA – a national non-profit committed to “Better Athletes, Better People” – we are happy to offer you FREE access to the Second-Goal Parent® online course. CYS encourages you to take this 60-minute online training.  It will help you help your children get the most out of their CYS experience on and off the field.

Give just an hour of your time, and you will learn: 

·         Specific tips and techniques for talking to you children on game day,

·         How to develop a productive parent – coach relationship,

·         Tips from top sports psychologists for helping your child transfer their lessons learned through sports to become successful in life

·         Lessons offered to PCA by its Advisory Board members such as Julie Foudy, Alexi Lalas, Kristine Lilly, Marcelo Balboa and Claudio Reyna as well as Phil Jackson, Doc Rivers, Summer  Sanders and others

·         And much more to help better you and your child’s experience in sports.

Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) is a national non-profit with the mission to provide all youth and high school athletes a positive, character-building youth sports experience. Since its 1998 launch at Stanford University PCA has impacted more than 4 million youth athletes.

Dear Parent, Why Character Matters Your child's character development is the most valuable outcome youth sports can offer. Therefore, it is important to involve your children in programs that value character development and to seek coaches who are qualified to deliver a positive, character-building youth sports experience. Consider in advance the type of experience you want for your children. Ask parents you respect for recommendations of suitable organizations, and ask questions of the leaders and coaches within the organizations you are considering. Such research will help you and your children capitalize on the character-development opportunities inherent in youth sports and will help you relax and enjoy the journey.
