I’m new in Colorado and my child wants to play soccer. .
How do I register?
First you need to contact a Soccer Club that is affiliated with Colorado Soccer Association.
Once you have determined which club that best fits your family then please contact them directly to register with their Soccer Club.
FYI – Each Soccer Club has their own registration process and ability to set their own registration fees.
When does soccer season take place Colorado?
In the State of Colorado, we have a Fall soccer season and a Spring soccer season.
The Fall season for Competitive league begins in August and ends in October. The Recreational league begins in September and ends in October.
The Spring Season for both Competitive and Recreational leagues begins in March and ends in May.
What are the ages of soccer in Colorado?
In the State of Colorado, youth from 4 to 19 years of age may participate in a soccer program.
Youth 4 to 10 years may only participate in a Recreational program. Youth 11 to 19 years may participate in a Recreational program or at a Competitive Level.
**Note** Each age group may not be offered at every Soccer Club, and the older age groups may not to have enough participants in the Recreational programs to run a league in each age group every year.
What should I look for in a Soccer Club?
It is recommended that you find a soccer club that is convenient for you to get your child to an from practices and home games.
You should find a soccer club that fits your budget. You should find a Soccer Club that fits your family’s commitment level.
You should feel ok with your decision to register with a particular soccer club, once you have compared it to other soccer clubs.
What should I expect, as far as a commitment?
At the Recreational level, expect to practice once a week in the late afternoon or early evenings with one game on Saturdays.
At the Competitive Level, expect to practice 2 to 3 times a week in the late afternoons or evenings with games on Saturdays and possibly on Sundays.
